Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
  • demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision
  • proficient written and oral communication skills
  • active with ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
  • ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • comfortable working near extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • criminal clearance

  • ability to work primarily indoors and also outdoors for events

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
  • ensure exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
  • ensure health protocols and proper hygiene are always followed
  • maintain sanitary food preparation and proper food temperatures
  • familiarize yourself with residents preferences and needs
  • participate in resident orientations
