Joining Bally's means embarking on a career path full of opportunity and excitement in an industry that values creativity, dedication, and guest satisfaction.
This exciting opportunity is for a highly skilled Chef at Bally’s, a pivotal role that blends leadership with culinary expertise. The selected candidate will take on the responsibility of managing kitchen operations in a high-volume restaurant setting within the casino environment. The Chef will lead a team to deliver high-quality food products while maintaining strict compliance with all food safety and gaming regulations. This role demands a candidate who thrives in a busy, fast-paced kitchen and is passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and uphold Bally’s prestigious standards.
The Chef’s position is not merely about food preparation but also encompasses strategic oversight of the entire kitchen operation. Responsibilities include scheduling kitchen and dish room staff, creating daily specials menus, managing inventory requirements, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all food preparation and support areas. Effective communication with front-of-house staff is essential for seamless service delivery. Furthermore, the Chef will oversee the ordering of all food and supplies while controlling costs and managing personnel actions such as hiring and firing, thus playing a critical role in the operational success of the food services within the Bally’s establishment.
The role requires a steadfast commitment to compliance with Rhode Island food codes, HACCP laws, and gaming licenses, ensuring Bally’s stays compliant with legal and industry standards. Physical and mental demands include continuous walking, talking, bending, reaching, and food testing to maintain quality standards. The working environment may vary from hot to cold, humid, or noisy, typical of a busy kitchen and casino floor. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds is also required.
Bally's offers a competitive salary, with this Chef role targeted around $58,000 annually, complemented by annual performance reviews. Comprehensive benefits include a health coverage plan that spans medical, dental, and vision, a robust 401(k) plan with company match, and additional perks such as access to childcare discounts. This is a prime opportunity for a culinary professional seeking to advance their career with a global leader in entertainment that values innovation, diversity, and excellence.
