- ability to read and interpret standardized recipes
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Job Duties
- utilizing menus food production sheets prepares food products in accordance with standards
- develop menus and communicates to executive chef
- maintains equipment and work areas in a sanitary and safe condition
- develops doctor's lounge menu and communicates to executive chef one week in advance
- prepares all special function food requests for meetings
- may assist with bakery and cold food preparation for patients and cafeteria putting away stock and preparation of patient and/or cafeteria food
- actively participates in hospital and departmental committees and group meetings focusing on improving quality of services
