Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one to three years related experience and/or training
  • ability to supervise and manage large teams
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in computer applications including inventory and spreadsheet software
  • ability to perform mathematical operations with money and weight measurements
  • physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 75 pounds regularly
  • ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear for extended periods
  • willingness to complete company training programs
  • ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • understanding of English language for reading, writing, and speaking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years of related experience or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • knowledge of HT Internet software, email, inventory software, spreadsheet, and word processing software
  • strong mathematical skills
  • ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills in standardized situations
  • commitment to customer service

Job Duties

  • Manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department
  • perform duties of baker/fryer, cake decorator, Fresh Foods clerks, and chef as needed
  • interview and train associates
  • plan, assign, and direct work tasks
  • assist in appraising associate performance
  • reward and discipline associates accordingly
  • address complaints and resolve problems to maintain departmental harmony
