Job Requirements

  • Five years in healthcare food service with commercial, institutional cooking experience
  • Two years supervisory experience preferred
  • Food Safety Certification and maintain current
  • HAACP, CDM and/or CFPP certifications desired
  • Culinary degree or certification desired
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets desired
  • County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current

Job Duties

  • Establish and oversee food production practices and kitchen operations to ensure quality food service
  • Provide staff education and development in culinary skills, food handling, and sanitation practices
  • Supervise production employees and food service workers for compliance with federal, state, and regulatory agencies
  • Manage therapeutic diet preparation and adherence
  • Coordinate food service for patients, cafeteria visitors, physician dining, and catered events
  • Maintain food safety certification and enforce safe food handling protocols
  • Ensure kitchen sanitation and compliance with health regulations
