The role of Chef Manager at Aramark is a critical position that blends culinary expertise with leadership and operational management. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager will apply a hands-on approach in managing kitchen personnel while focusing on skill development, team motivation, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Ideal candidates will have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in culinary or food service management roles and possess a culinary degree or equivalent post-secondary education. Job Duties
- train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities
- estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
- collaborate with general management to meet budget requirements and execute company programs
