Job Requirements

  • Minimum education requirement - high school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Minimum management experience - 1 year
  • Prior food service management experience
  • Culinary knowledge
  • Experience supervising and training staff
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work rotating weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Prior food service management experience with restaurants, catering and/or retirement living dining
  • Culinary knowledge
  • Experience supervising and training staff with exceptional human resource and supervisory skill-set
  • Strong computer skills
  • Enthusiasm for working with a diverse set of people
  • Positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily food service operations for the gastro pub, ensuring high-quality, resident-focused dining experiences
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to execute seasonal menus and elevate culinary standards
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of 10 frontline staff, fostering a positive and productive kitchen culture
  • Engage directly with residents, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Maintain hands-on involvement in both kitchen prep and front-of-house service
  • Work a typical shift of 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with rotating weekend coverage
