The Chef Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful culinary direction of the hospital’s patient room service program. This full-time role operates under the direct supervision of the senior executive chef and requires flexibility to work varied shifts, typically from 11am to 9pm, including one weekend per month and one holiday per year. The Chef Manager is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and service. This includes training and coaching kitchen staff across multiple cook positions, managing schedules, and directly supervising all patient service cooks. The role demands strong leadership skills along with hands-on culinary expertise to ensure all food orders are prepared efficiently and in compliance with Sodexo’s culinary standards and HACCP guidelines.
