Job Description

Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The Chef Manager will be responsible for the culinary direction of the account's patient room service program, training staff, HACCP record keeping, daily kitchen operations, managing kitchen cleanliness, preparing dishes, covering call offs, and supervising staff. This role reports directly to the senior executive chef of the unit.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent required
  • minimum 1 year of management experience preferred
  • culinary professional with a passion for culinary arts
  • production culinary background in hospital, restaurant, retail, or catering environment
  • experience leading a culinary team and human resource and supervisory/management skillset
  • effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • computer skills
  • Servsafe certified with working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits
