Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- previous restaurant kitchen experience
- high school diploma or GED
- excellent communication skills
- ability to be away from home for 4-8 days at a time
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- willingness to work on call and variable schedules during extraboard period
- pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- comply with federal safety-sensitive employee regulations
Job Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a restaurant as a chef or line cook
- high school diploma or GED
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- ability to work full time with variable schedules
- knowledge of FDA sanitation regulations and food safety standards
Job Duties
- Prepare full-course meals for Amtrak passengers
- assist with all phases of meal preparations
- wash all items used in the preparation of meals in compliance with FDA sanitation regulations and standards
- complete all end-point duties
- assist with loading, unloading, verification, handling and storage of all food and service products
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining car lower level
