Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience running a kitchen in a restaurant or catering service environment
supervisory experience
New York City Health Certification
knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation for large groups
ability to work within a budget
strong organizational and time management skills
effective communication skills
basic computer proficiency

Job Qualifications

supervisory experience
preferred 3+ years running a kitchen for groups of 30 or more
New York City Health Certification
demonstrated knowledge of menu planning, procurement, and meal preparation for large groups
ability to produce meals within an established budget
exceptional organizational and time management skills
effective communication skills
basic computer skills for online ordering

Job Duties

Run the institute's academic year lunch service
ensure quality control and health standards
project catering expenditures
manage all related purchases
communicate with ISAW's Food Service Assistant, building maintenance, and administrative staff
plan menus according to budget and nutritional requirements
maintain consistent job performance despite operational challenges
