Job Duties

  • Direct and coordinate kitchen, food production and food-service associates
  • Supervise, coordinate and participate in preparing, cooking and serving food
  • Ensure all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
  • Supervise hourly kitchen associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and disciplinary actions
  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
  • Maintain proper presentation, food quality, portion control and serving temperatures
  • Track food use, waste and consumption to manage inventory
  • Receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Clean workstations thoroughly
  • Help select and develop recipes and menus
  • Perform other duties as assigned
