Founded in 1980, the company has grown substantially and operates numerous stores across the United States and internationally. Whole Foods Market prides itself on creating a shopping experience that emphasizes fresh, wholesome foods as well as responsible sourcing and sustainability. The company focuses on fostering a strong community culture both within its team and with its customers. Known for its commitment to excellence in food quality, customer service, and environmental stewardship, Whole Foods Market has positioned itself as a leader in the retail grocery industry, particularly within the natural and organic food sector. It operates as a subsidiary of Amazon, leveraging innovative technology and customer engagement strategies to enhance the retail experience. The company is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, offering fair and equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on legally protected characteristics. Whole Foods Market provides comprehensive benefits to its employees through its "Whole Benefits" program, which includes health and wellness support, financial wellness, paid time off, and team member discounts, among others. The position of Chef de Partie at Whole Foods Market is an important leadership role within the Prepared Foods department, designed for an ATL level leader who will drive culinary excellence and hospitality on the retail floor. This position entails responsibility for operational standard operating procedures (SOPs), merchandising standards, menu implementations, stock levels, and key initiatives across various culinary outlets such as Chef’s Case, Fresh Pack, Charcuterie, Rotisserie, food and soup bars, and inline service venues including pizza and sandwich stations. The role demands a strong commitment to culinary quality, team mentorship, operational leadership, and a passion for food culture. The Chef de Partie will act as a venue lead on the retail floor, not only managing production and quality but also ensuring exceptional hospitality and customer engagement. This involves balancing back-of-house operational priorities with front-of-house guest experience, making this role vital to the overall success of the Prepared Foods operation within a Whole Foods Market store. The role reports directly to the Prepared Foods Team Leader and collaborates closely with store leadership and regional culinary teams. This leadership position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.55 to $35.00, commensurate with experience, and provides opportunities for professional growth and development within a respected retail food environment. Whole Foods Market emphasizes training, mentorship, and a positive team culture to maintain high performance and staff retention.
