We are presently seeking a Chef de Partie to join our vibrant culinary team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of a designated kitchen section while maintaining direct engagement with guests as required. The Chef de Partie is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes that meet our high-quality standards, reflecting the culinary artistry and professionalism expected by our clientele. Strong spoken and written English skills are essential in this role to facilitate clear communication with guests and the wider kitchen team, enhancing guest satisfaction and team cohesion. The position demands a polished demeanor and the ability to confidently explain menu items, ingredients, and dietary considerations to guests. You will work closely with the Chef on Duty to refine culinary techniques and elevate the guest dining experience.

This role requires a dedicated professional who thrives in a high-paced, modern kitchen environment, preferably with experience in high-end or chef-driven kitchens. Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts and operational demands is necessary, as our hotel operates 24/7. Responsibilities include maintaining impeccable station organization, following health and safety standards, managing food quality and temperature logs, and adhering to company policies and procedures. Additionally, maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment while delivering exceptional service is paramount.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 100 lbs
  • Sufficient manual dexterity of hand to use all kitchen equipment including knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers
  • Capability to work in high heat and noisy environments
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Strong spoken and written English skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a modern, high-end or chef-driven kitchen
  • Ability to adapt, learn quickly, and maintain high standards during peak service
  • Strong communication, confidence with guests, and polished English skills alongside kitchen responsibilities
  • Professional demeanor and comfort engaging with guests in a polished, friendly manner
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Food safety certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the restaurant's standards within your assigned section
  • Interact confidently with guests during service, chef's table experiences or special events
  • Communicate menu items, ingredients and dietary information clearly and accurately in English
  • Work closely with the Chef on Duty to refine techniques and elevate the guest experience
  • Read and employ math skills to follow recipes
  • Maintain a clean, organized and efficient station aligned with modern kitchen standards
  • Prepare all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and as specified on guest check, to ensure consistency of product
  • Visually inspect, select, and use only food items of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items
  • Keep all refrigeration, equipment, and storage and working areas in clean, working condition to comply with health department regulations
  • Maintain all logs, cooling, heating, and temperature
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions to management
  • Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
  • Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as outlined in the team member handbook
  • Perform any related duties as requested by management
