Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in kitchen management or similar role
  • Serve-Safe or Houston Food Managers Certificate
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work 50 hours per week including weekends, holidays, day and night shifts, and overtime
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage diverse teams
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Creativity and passion for food
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks and computer use

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on quality and customer service
  • Strong communication skills with managers, kitchen, service team members and guests
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Serve-Safe or Houston Food Managers Certificate
  • Solid knowledge of food and beverage
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
  • Make recommendations to the Corporate Executive Chef regarding succession planning
  • Ensure guests receive an exceptional dining experience
  • Manage food stock levels to comply with quality standards
  • Ensure team members maintain clean, tidy uniforms and professional appearance
  • Oversee safe and correct use, cleaning, and maintenance of food preparation equipment
  • Update and prepare culinary operations manuals
  • Adhere to departmental budgets and control food costs and COGs
  • Plan and conduct results-oriented meetings
  • Correct food preparation for all restaurants and catering orders
  • Initiate maintenance reports and follow-ups
  • Manage team members fairly and personally
  • Foster a positive and motivated team attitude
  • Collaborate with Executive Corporate Chef to use high-quality products
  • Administer weekly work schedules and timecards
  • Motivate culinary staff and provide positive performance feedback
  • Coach and counsel team members according to policy
  • Act as manager on duty as scheduled
  • Identify team strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback
  • Perform varied tasks within the store during each shift
