Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum of four years culinary experience in multiple venues
  • minimum of three years supervisory experience
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • fluency in English
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ratio
  • ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically
  • ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Culinary or related field
  • minimum of four years of culinary experience in multiple venues or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum of three years of supervisory experience
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • fluent and literate in English
  • proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • strong mathematical skills including ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues diplomatically
  • ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
  • ability to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Achieves desired results through established methods, procedures, and guidelines to maintain established standards and high-quality service
  • monitors results through inspection, evaluation, and analysis
  • makes changes if necessary to achieve goals
  • supervises staff and overall daily management of a designated shift
  • supports, administers, and manages operational goals
  • monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives
  • creates effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction
  • develops and produces menu items as listed in each restaurant
  • follows all prep lists and ensures kitchens are stocked and ready for service
  • assists in the budget process by providing recommendations
  • supports compliance to departmental budget initiatives
  • reports budget concerns to manager
  • supports and promotes superior customer service according to company standards
  • ensures customer service standards are followed and addresses issues as they arise
  • maintains cost control methods and procedures by monitoring inventory
  • maintains quality assurance to meet health department and customer standards
  • ensures regulatory compliance and reports potential issues to management
  • maintains strict confidentiality in company matters
