Job Requirements

  • Experience in budget management and cost control
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical stamina to perform job duties

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of chef de cuisine experience
  • Background in fine dining
  • Experience managing unionized team members
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Creative menu planning ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Lead daily culinary production including preparation and presentation of meals
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • Manage team member productivity and performance
  • Control food costs and overall profitability
  • Perform general management duties such as budget and forecasting
  • Create and implement new menus and food items
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
