Job Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of professional kitchen leadership experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage food safety and workplace safety standards
  • Knowledge of sustainable food procurement
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Google Suite
  • ServSafe certification
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Degree from a culinary arts training program or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of food and workplace safety
  • Passion for culinary excellence and hospitality
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Google Suite tools
  • ServSafe certification
  • Experience managing in a union environment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Champion workplace and food safety standards including allergen management
  • Design and manage the overall guest culinary experience
  • Ensure adherence to menu specifications and production guidelines
  • Craft balanced, nourishing meals
  • Foster friendly, engaging, personalized hospitality
  • Lead and mentor kitchen team members
  • Oversee procurement in line with sustainability standards
  • Meet deadlines for payroll, service delivery, and management directives
