Job Description

The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel, is a premier oceanfront destination known for its exceptional hospitality and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. This upscale resort offers guests a luxurious experience with a blend of comfort, elegance, and personalized service. Situated along the scenic coastline, The Waterfront Beach Resort provides an inviting and vibrant atmosphere where guests can relax, indulge in world-class amenities, and create unforgettable memories. With over 30 years of excellence in the hospitality industry, the resort is committed to maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and employee well-being, embodying a family-like work environment where teamwork and camaraderie flourish.

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Kitchen Supervisor to join our culinary team at The Waterfront Beach Resort. This role is integral to ensuring the highest quality and presentation standards for all menu items served within the hotel. The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for visually inspecting and selecting the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, and other food products, guaranteeing that only top-quality ingredients are used in food preparation. The role involves overseeing cooking techniques, managing food costs, portion control, and waste reduction to optimize kitchen efficiency and maintain profitability.

In addition to food preparation oversight, the Kitchen Supervisor will participate in the production of all necessary food items and uphold strict hygiene and safety standards to comply with health regulations. A key part of the position involves hiring, training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff members to ensure proper food preparation, equipment handling, and safety protocols are followed. The supervisor will also evaluate staff performance, provide guidance, and administer discipline when needed to maintain a high-performance team focused on quality and consistency.

The role extends to managing kitchen schedules and labor, approving supply requisitions, and ensuring proper receiving, storage, and rotation of ingredients to preserve freshness and meet health department standards. Attention to detail is paramount as the supervisor will assign specific duties to employees, maintain and update all menu specifications, recipes, production forecasts, and ensure adherence to these guidelines. Developing seasonal menus based on ingredient availability and guest preferences is also a critical responsibility, as is the creation of new recipes that maintain exceptional food quality.

At The Waterfront Beach Resort, we believe in fostering a supportive environment where associates are encouraged to grow their careers through training, experience, and development opportunities. We are dedicated to providing a positive work-life balance and a culture that values integrity, personality, charisma, and teamwork. The Kitchen Supervisor role offers an excellent platform for culinary professionals who are passionate about hospitality, eager to lead a motivated team, and committed to delivering unforgettable guest experiences. Join us and become a part of our award-winning team where your work truly makes a difference in the lives of coworkers, guests, and the broader community.
