Among the distinguished properties under Pyramid Global Hospitality is The Wigwam, a historic Four Diamond resort nestled in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Established in 1929, The Wigwam spans an impressive 440 acres and features 331 guest rooms, providing guests a true authentic Arizona experience. As a landmark in Arizona’s hospitality landscape, The Wigwam prides itself on its exceptional service and dedication to creating memorable guest experiences. The resort is currently seeking a dedicated professional to join its Culinary team as a Chef de Cuisine.
The role of Chef de Cuisine at The Wigwam is a critical leadership position for those passionate about the culinary arts and committed to excellence in a high-volume professional kitchen environment. This role requires a creative, motivated individual who thrives in a hands-on leadership capacity. The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing daily food production, ensuring all dishes meet high standards for quality, presentation, and safety. Creativity is encouraged through the development of seasonal and special menus that reflect the distinctive character of the restaurant concept while embracing seasonal availability of ingredients.
In addition to culinary expertise, the Chef de Cuisine acts as a mentor and leader for the kitchen team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. The individual in this role must effectively communicate and collaborate with restaurant management to exceed guest expectations, manage costs prudently to maintain a profitable operation, and uphold rigorous food safety and sanitation standards. Daily management duties extend to ordering food supplies, conducting kitchen walkthroughs to identify operational improvements, leading team meetings, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Chef de Cuisine is also the embodiment of the culinary team’s standards and ethics, serving as a role model for staff and a respected representative within wider organizational meetings.
Candidates for this position should have extensive experience at a similar level, a passion for culinary innovation, and a commitment to delivering outstanding food quality and guest experiences. They must demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to cultivate a positive, productive working atmosphere. Working at The Wigwam provides an opportunity to make a historic career move within a prestigious Four Diamond property while contributing to a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion, and employee success. Pyramid Global Hospitality’s commitment to equal opportunity employment further underscores the welcoming and respectful environment offered to all team members. For those ready to elevate their culinary career and embrace the challenges of a dynamic kitchen environment, this Chef de Cuisine role offers a highly rewarding professional platform.
