The role of Chef de Cuisine is vital to our operational and creative success. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations with direct supervision and a keen eye for quality and cleanliness. The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for implementing advanced culinary concepts and ensuring that staff meet the high standards of food preparation and presentation that our guests expect. This role requires daily interaction not only with kitchen staff but also with service personnel, fostering collaboration and enhancing understanding of the menu and food offerings. Supervision extends to maintaining kitchen sanitation, managing food rotation processes, and conducting routine quality checks to uphold our reputation for excellence.

Job Requirements
- Seasoned chef with extensive full service restaurant and fine dining experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Restaurant Chef at a property of similar caliber
- Familiarity with hotel operations preferred
- Proven ability to direct, train and supervise culinary staff
- Expert knowledge of butchering, sauces, soups, and cooking techniques
- Ability to work varied schedule including early mornings, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Extensive full service restaurant and fine dining experience
- Educational background in culinary arts or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Restaurant Chef at a property of similar caliber
- Proven ability to manage, train and supervise culinary staff to the highest standards
- Expert knowledge of all basic culinary skills such as butchering, sauces, soups, cooking techniques of meat, fish and vegetables
- Ability to work varied schedule including early mornings, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Direct supervision of the day to day operation
- Understand advanced culinary concepts
- Build rapport with guests and wait staff
- Follow instructions and understand the philosophy of the Food & Beverage Director and carry out those ideas, stressing them to culinary staff
- Work closely with cooks, training, instructing and guiding them in their jobs
- Emphasize artistic food presentation and quality
- Control cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and walk-ins and ensure proper rotation of foods
- Work closely with service staff to advance their knowledge of menu selections
- Conduct daily walk through all kitchens, walk-ins for proper rotation of food and sanitation
- Perform daily routine check of mise en place and quality of food product
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director
