We are currently seeking a Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary leadership team in Austin, TX. This position is ideal for a hands-on culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment and who is eager to lead with a strong emphasis on team development, food quality, and operational excellence. The Chef de Cuisine will serve as a key leader within our corporate dining operation, providing a true restaurant experience that emphasizes exceptional food, outstanding service, and innovative menu development.
This role goes beyond a traditional station lead, offering significant leadership responsibilities and growth potential. The successful candidate will work closely under the direction of the Executive Chef and occasionally assume full culinary department leadership in their absence. Responsibilities include supporting daily culinary production, ensuring consistent food quality and presentation, fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen culture, and contributing to menu innovation. Additionally, the Chef de Cuisine will play an important role in training and mentoring team members across all skill levels, promoting a respectful and accountable work environment.
The role requires strong kitchen management skills, including inventory oversight, food cost control, adherence to food safety standards, and assisting with hiring and performance management. A calm, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset is essential to adapt to the dynamic nature of corporate dining and client expectations. Some Spanish language competency is preferred to enhance communication within diverse teams.

Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate preferred
- 2-5+ years of culinary or kitchen management experience, depending on training
- Catering experience and/or high-volume production experience
- Knowledge of current food and catering trends
- Experience with batch cooking or banquet-style service
- Strong understanding of sanitation, food safety, and food cost controls
- ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain
Job Duties
- Support and execute daily culinary production under the direction of the Executive Chef
- Serve as the culinary department lead in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Work confidently across all kitchen stations in a high-volume environment
- Ensure consistent execution, food quality, and presentation across service and catering
- Assist heavily with menu development, keeping modern trends and techniques in mind
- Train, mentor, and develop team members at all skill levels
- Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory management, and food cost control
