The Chef de Cuisine role at Aramark is a key leadership position focused on managing culinary operations at a specific location. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, coordinating culinary activities, and ensuring consistent food quality while fostering a creative and safe kitchen environment. Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary position
  • At least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and practices
  • Experience managing kitchen staff and resolving operational issues
  • Strong communication skills in verbal, reading, and written forms
  • Ability to maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • Capability to oversee culinary operations and food cost management

Job Qualifications

  • Requires at least 2-3 years in a related position
  • Requires at least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
  • Requires verbal, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Trains and leads kitchen personnel
  • Supervises and coordinates all related culinary activities
  • Estimates food consumption and requisitions or purchases food
  • Selects and develops recipes and standardizes production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establishes presentation technique and quality standards and plans and prices menus
  • Ensures proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Oversees special catering events and may offer culinary instruction and demonstrate culinary techniques
