We are currently seeking a Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic team in an exciting fast-paced culinary environment. The role of Kitchen Manager is vital in maintaining the high standards of food quality, safety, and kitchen operations that PENN Entertainment is known for. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on leadership and operational excellence in the culinary field. The Kitchen Manager will oversee daily kitchen operations including maintaining kitchen equipment such as ovens, freezers, grills, and food processors to ensure they are in working order for safe and quality food preparation. They will also delegate tasks effectively to Sous Chefs, Specialty Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Line Cooks, ensuring smooth coordination during all meal services.
The position requires planning food menus according to restaurant guidelines and seasonal availability, monitoring food quality and quantity for guests, managing kitchen cleanliness and safety standards, and maintaining supplier relationships. Additionally, the Kitchen Manager will be responsible for menu development, revision, ordering, and inventory control, guaranteeing consistency in food preparation according to standard recipes. A strong understanding of various cooking techniques such as cutting, dicing, baking, roasting, braising, grilling, and skillet work is essential. The role also involves supervising food preparation for banquet events and developing creative menu items for both restaurant and banquets.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience in high-volume culinary leadership or equivalent culinary education
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven leadership and motivational skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations
- Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and stoop during shifts
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
