Job Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years previous culinary management experience in a high volume, full service kitchen with half that time spent in banquet food production
- Proven culinary skills and ability to lead, develop, and motivate staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be creative and aware of new food concepts and trends
- Experience in both Banquets and Restaurant preferred
- Computer literate and detail oriented
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to understand financial reports
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- College education and/or culinary degree preferred
- Certified as a ServSafe Manager preferred
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift, and carry for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs without assistance

Job Duties
- Assisting the Executive Chef in managing daily production, preparation, and presentation of food for the restaurant, room service, and banquet operations
- Monitoring, analyzing, and controlling labor and food costs
- Preparing reports, charts, and schedules to meet or exceed budgets
- Assisting in the creation, costing, and implementation of menus including outlets, banquets, and specialty menus
- Assuming the responsibilities of the Executive Chef in his or her absence
- Providing kitchen support for restaurant and banquet functions
- Overseeing proper handling and tracking of banquet food returns
- Directing proper sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment
- Complying with health code standards for sanitation
- Ensuring kitchen equipment is maintained and reporting repairs
- Directing maintenance of walk-in coolers including food rotation and cleanliness
- Communicating expectations and guiding staff to execute them
- Supporting and leading efforts to achieve Medallia food quality score
- Monitoring sign-in and sign-out procedures for kitchen staff
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned
