Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree required
  • excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish preferred

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar in a multi-meal restaurant
  • strong background in Italian cuisine with proven creativity and menu development skills
  • experience managing large kitchen teams 25+ employees
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office POS systems Toast ADP and scheduling software
  • strong leadership communication and organizational skills
  • flexible schedule including mornings evenings weekends and holidays
  • knowledge of food safety sanitation and hygiene standards
  • ability to multi-task
  • flexibility to work in shifts including weekends evenings and holidays 10-12 hours shifts
  • attention to detail cleanliness and safety
  • creative innovative thinking

Job Duties

  • Lead all kitchen operations ensuring high-quality food preparation presentation and service
  • design cost and update seasonal menus with a focus on Italian cuisine
  • recruit train and manage kitchen employees ensuring productivity and adherence to standards
  • develop and implement kitchen SOPs training programs and food safety procedures
  • monitor scheduling payroll and timekeeping systems Toast ADP Sling
  • maintain kitchen budgets control costs and optimize purchasing and inventory
  • foster a collaborative respectful work environment setting clear performance goals and expectations
  • ensure guest satisfaction through exceptional food quality responsiveness and service
  • ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
  • manages day-to-day operations
  • participate in the employee performance appraisal process providing feedback as needed
  • sets and supports achievement of kitchen goals including performance goals budget goals team goals etc
  • performs other duties as required
