Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary Arts degree or relevant bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary experience
- At least 3 years in a senior kitchen leadership role
- Experience in high-end or luxury dining environment preferred
- Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, menu development, and food safety standards
- Strong financial acumen
- Proven leadership skills in high-pressure kitchen environments
- Familiarity with modern kitchen equipment and inventory software
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to remain calm and organized during busy periods
- Physical ability to stand for 8 to 10 hour shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of employment law and safety regulations
- Additional language skills preferred
- Ability to maintain neat and professional appearance
- Willingness to adhere to uniform guidelines
Job Qualifications

- Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, menu development, and food safety standards
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage food cost, labor cost, and inventory control
- Proven experience in leading, developing, and motivating diverse kitchen teams in high-pressure environments
- Familiarity with modern kitchen equipment and systems, including ordering and inventory software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Ability to remain calm and organized during high-volume service periods and adapt quickly to dynamic operational needs
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods-typically 8 to 10-hour shifts
- Physically able to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as necessary
- Must demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for culinary excellence
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations

Job Duties
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Execute and develop offerings in line with established set menus, ensuring alignment with the culinary vision and brand identity of Delano
- Take responsibility for authentic Italian culinary techniques and ingredients where appropriate, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Oversee daily preparation, production, and execution of all dishes in collaboration with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff
- Monitor inventory, control food costs, and manage supplier relationships to ensure efficiency and quality
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate culinary team members to build a high-performing and motivated team
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure all tools and appliances are in proper working order
- Collaborate with restaurant management and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Continuously seek opportunities to elevate the dining experience and incorporate guest feedback into menu development
- Implement and enforce kitchen policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain operational excellence
- Analyze kitchen performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve productivity and profitability
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the kitchen team
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
- Provide lateral services and perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of exceptional guest service
