Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of professional culinary experience
- Previous management experience in a high-volume restaurant
- Proficiency in kitchen management software and scheduling
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain quality standards under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
- Excellent creativity in menu development
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a culinary team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Act as senior leadership by developing and assuming key management responsibilities
- Assume the role of liaison between all dining room operations and culinary staff
- Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
- Develop and implement creative menu items within the restaurant concept
- Plan, coordinate & implement special events and holiday functions
- Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- May manage other key culinary leadership roles including supervisor and other less senior Sous Chefs
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
- Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
- Participate in marketing events directly related to their specific restaurant
