Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education diploma required
- Culinary apprenticeship and or hotel management degree required
- Three years of kitchen management experience required
- Three years of high-end luxury culinary experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and operational standards
- Effective team building and staff development capabilities
- Commitment to maintaining food quality and guest satisfaction.

Job Duties
- Directs, manages and supports the operations of the culinary department
- Communicates daily and attends meetings with food and beverage outlets and administration
- Ensures operational safety and cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment
- Assists and participates in the hiring process and decision making of culinary applicants
- Establishes and maintains a professional, trained and motivated staff
- Assists in planning and development of new menu items and conducts research for special promotions
- Monitors business forecast and ensures staffing meets payroll control and financial success
- Forecasts labor costs, analyzes cost and revenue reports to maximize profits
- Orders food and supplies and coordinates equipment acquisition and maintenance
- Researches and recommends new approaches, policies and procedures for efficiency improvements
- Communicates with local produce distributors to ensure proper deliveries
- Reports suspicious activities and hazardous conditions to the Security Department
- Provides instruction for guest and employee safety in emergency situations
- Responds to guest questions and provides assistance in public areas
- Participates in food-related promotions
- Approves requisitions for kitchen supplies and food items
- Makes budgetary and long-term development proposals
- Performs other assigned duties.
