Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree required
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish preferred

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar in a multi-meal restaurant
  • Strong background in Italian cuisine with proven creativity and menu development skills
  • Experience managing large kitchen teams 25+ employees
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office POS systems Toast ADP and scheduling software
  • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule including mornings evenings weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety sanitation and hygiene standards
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Flexibility to work in shifts including weekends evenings and holidays 10-12 hours shifts
  • Attention to detail cleanliness and safety
  • Creative innovative thinking

Job Duties

  • Lead all kitchen operations ensuring high-quality food preparation presentation and service
  • Design cost and update seasonal menus with a focus on Italian cuisine
  • Recruit train and manage kitchen employees ensuring productivity and adherence to standards
  • Develop and implement kitchen SOPs training programs and food safety procedures
  • Monitor scheduling payroll and timekeeping systems such as Toast ADP and Sling
  • Maintain kitchen budgets control costs and optimize purchasing and inventory
  • Foster a collaborative respectful work environment setting clear performance goals and expectations
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through exceptional food quality responsiveness and service
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
  • Manage day-to-day operations
  • Participate in the employee performance appraisal process providing feedback as needed
  • Set and support achievement of kitchen goals including performance goals budget goals team goals etc
  • Perform other duties as required
