Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • ServSafe certification or must be acquired within 90 days of start date
  • Basic math skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft applications
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical training or education or degree preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Cooking experience in a similar environment preferred
  • Scratch cooking experience preferred
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft applications
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals using standardized recipes
  • Handle and prepare food safely following infection control and safety standards
  • Ensure timely production and meal service to residents
  • Set up line service for meal times
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas after use
  • Assist with special events
  • Assist Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
