Job Description
Aynsley Place is a small Assisted Living Community located in Nashua, NH. As a locally owned and operated establishment, Aynsley Place specializes in providing personalized service and care to its residents, emphasizing a warm, community-focused environment. The community serves older adults who require support with daily living activities but value their independence and quality of life. Aynsley Place is dedicated to maintaining an atmosphere that fosters comfort, security, and dignity for all who reside and work there. The small size of the community allows for a close-knit team dynamic, enabling employees to form meaningful relationships with residents and their families. The team-oriented culture promotes collaboration and individualized attention, aiming to meet the unique needs of each resident while encouraging staff creativity and input in their roles.
The full-time Chef position at Aynsley Place offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who have a passion for cooking and the desire to work in an environment that values creativity and balance. This role involves a schedule from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a Friday through Tuesday workweek. This schedule allows candidates to avoid late-night shifts and enjoy a more balanced lifestyle. The chef will primarily be responsible for preparing lunch and dinner meals, focusing on nutritious, well-balanced, and visually appealing dishes that meet the dietary restrictions and preferences of residents. There is freedom to express culinary creativity within the guidelines of dietary standards, in collaboration with the community's dietitian, ensuring all meals support residents' health and enjoyment.
Working as the Chef at Aynsley Place means becoming part of a supportive team in a relaxed and appreciative atmosphere. The position requires adherence to sanitary regulations and established policies designed to maintain food safety and kitchen cleanliness. The chef will also contribute to maintaining kitchen equipment and supplies, assist with special events, and serve residents and their guests with friendly and courteous customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and has a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward their craft and the seniors they serve. The candidate must be able to move intermittently during the workday and commit to the safety and well-being of everyone in the workplace.
Overall, the Chef role at Aynsley Place offers a unique combination of personal fulfillment and professional opportunity. The environment encourages trade-offs from more demanding late schedules for a position that promotes work-life balance, creativity, and a meaningful connection to the community. Employees benefit from competitive wages and comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental insurance, earned time, 401K, flexible spending accounts, and paid life insurance for eligible employees. Anyone passionate about culinary arts and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of older adults would find this position rewarding and engaging.
