Job Qualifications

  • Front of house experience
  • preferred bartending license
  • preferred ServSafe Food Manager certification
  • required 2 years front of house experience
  • required 5 years food and beverage experience

Job Duties

  • Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate
  • plan and direct the functions of the food and beverage department to meet daily operational needs
  • assign and delegate responsibility for various food and beverage sub-departments including room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, stewarding
  • review daily menu specials and banquet event orders with kitchen leadership
  • participate in menu creation and recipe development
  • implement cost control measures for food, beverage, and labor costs
  • ensure compliance with state, federal, and corporate alcohol service regulations
  • establish profit objectives and maintain quality, service, cleanliness, merchandising, and promotion standards
  • regularly review guest satisfaction and recommend operational or marketing policy changes
  • take physical inventory and ensure stock quality and adequacy
  • monitor staff performance and rectify deficiencies
  • assist catering with special menu development and client meetings
  • review daily sales and food cost reports and resolve discrepancies
  • develop and manage departmental schedules and payroll reports
  • comply with attendance requirements and perform other related duties as assigned
