Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- previous experience as a Chef/Line Cook in a restaurant setting
- ability to comply with FDA food safety and sanitation standards
- willingness to undergo a background check and pre-employment drug screening
- strong communication skills
- availability to work onboard trains
- physical ability to handle kitchen duties
- commitment to safety and customer service
Job Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a restaurant as a Chef/Line Cook
- high school diploma or GED
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- knowledge of FDA sanitation regulations
- ability to work cooperatively with team members
- attention to food quality and safety
Job Duties
- Prepare full-course meals for Amtrak passengers
- assist with all phases of meal preparations
- wash all items used in the preparation of meals in compliance with FDA sanitation regulations and standards
- complete all end-point duties
- assist with loading, unloading, verification, handling and storage of all food and service products
- plate meals and provide to servers
- maintain cleanliness of the entire lower level of the dining car
