Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chef in various culinary environments
  • Experience in opening of concepts
  • building teams and creating and enforcing operating standards from the ground up
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, restaurant management, menu building and kitchen operations
  • Excellent understanding of hospitality, dietary departments, and food production
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Create a thriving work environment by planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities using their personal creativity and leadership abilities
  • Effectively manage culinary activities in a hoodless kitchen
  • Create new menu items and specials
  • Ensure high-quality food presentation
  • Oversee kitchen staff and coordinate kitchen operations while leading by example during prep and service hours
  • Place orders, manage inventory and control food costs while keeping up strong relationships with vendors
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events, buyouts and catering
