Job Description
One Sushi is a premium private sushi chef catering company dedicated to bringing the authentic, high-quality sushi experience directly to clients' homes or any location they choose. As a company specializing in private events, One Sushi takes pride in offering a unique and personalized dining experience where expert sushi chefs prepare exquisite sushi creations right in front of guests. The company’s focus on premium ingredients, exceptional culinary skills, and attentive service makes it a top choice for those seeking an exclusive sushi event with an intimate atmosphere.
One Sushi stands out for its commitment to not only the quality of the food but also the convenience and luxury it provides its clients. By catering to private homes and various venues, the company elevates the sushi dining experience beyond what a traditional restaurant environment can offer. Events usually occur in the evenings and last around 4 to 5 hours, creating a relaxed yet sophisticated ambiance where guests can enjoy freshly prepared sushi pieces, from nigiri to hand and cut rolls.
The role of a sushi chef at One Sushi is both dynamic and rewarding. Sushi chefs are entrusted with the responsibility of crafting beautiful, delicious sushi using premium seafood and rice, showcasing their skills with meticulous fish cutting, nigiri preparation, and roll creation. Candidates with robust seafood knowledge and sushi-making expertise are highly valued, as the job requires precision, speed, and an artistic touch to impress discerning clients.
This position differs from traditional kitchen jobs in that it involves minimal standing time and no strenuous kitchen prep work. Chefs simply arrive at the event location where everything is prepped and ready for them, allowing them to focus entirely on sushi preparation and presentation. The compensation model is hourly and includes travel reimbursement, along with client tips based on performance, adding an incentive for chefs to provide top-notch service and culinary craftsmanship.
