Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- several years of experience in the culinary industry
- prior experience in a supervisory role
- knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail

- proven experience as a chef or in a similar role
- strong leadership and management skills
- knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- ability to create innovative menus

Job Duties
- create menus
- direct the food prep process
- plan and order ingredients and necessary equipment
- arrange for kitchen repairs when needed
- use p&l statements to effectively manage costs and meet budgets
- hire, manage, and train kitchen staff
- oversee kitchen staff, looking for opportunities to counsel or coach
- foster cooperation, collaboration and respect
- have knowledge of and enforce all safety and sanitation requirements
