We are a family based in Memphis seeking a highly skilled and experienced private chef to join us for part-time work, covering one week every month with daily visits during that week. Our household consists of four members, and we value the expertise of a chef who can seamlessly rotate with our existing main house chef to maintain the highest standards of meal preparation and kitchen management. This opportunity is ideal for a chef or catering chef looking to supplement their work schedule with part-time or per diem hours in the Memphis area. Our family appreciates diverse culinary skills, and we are particularly interested in someone with proficiency in Indian cuisine or the eagerness to learn it, alongside Western/American and international dishes. The role requires a culinary professional who is experienced in preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals that cater to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian and a range of protein options such as chicken, mutton, and seafood. As a private chef for our family, you will be responsible for cooking three meals and two snacks each day, along with handling daily grocery shopping, meal preparation, cooking, and detailed logging of each meal. Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment is essential, as is keeping meticulous records of all grocery purchases and related expenses.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a similar private or catering chef role
- must be comfortable cooking with chicken, mutton, and seafood
- ability to work one week per month daily in Memphis
- willing to undergo and clear background check
- valid food handler certification preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to maintain high kitchen sanitation standards
