Job Description
We are a warm, easygoing family of four living in Irvine, California (ZIP code 92618), with two young children and a full-time nanny in the home. Our family values healthy, nutritious eating and maintaining a welcoming, organized household environment. We are currently seeking a personal chef to join us on a part-time basis, with the potential for increased hours and a long-term arrangement if it's the right fit. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about cooking well-balanced meals that cater to the tastes and nutritional needs of both young children and adults.
The personal chef role focuses on preparing healthy, flavorful Taiwanese cuisine with a strong emphasis on fresh, wholesome ingredients. Candidates should be comfortable cooking in a family household setting and must prioritize cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and throughout meal preparation. The ability to speak Chinese, preferably Mandarin, is important for ease of communication and understanding of culinary nuances. This role is suited for a skilled home chef, culinary student, or anyone passionate about cooking and eager to work in a supportive family environment.
This position offers a pay rate of $120 per day and currently requires part-time commitment, but we remain open to increasing the workload for someone who demonstrates dedication and excellent culinary skills. The role involves preparing meals tailored to family preferences and nutritional requirements, ensuring both taste and healthfulness are balanced carefully. Additionally, responsibility for kitchen cleanup after meal preparation is expected, underscoring the importance we place on maintaining a clean and orderly cooking space. Working with us means being part of a family that appreciates thoughtful, caring food preparation and a professional approach to home cooking. We look forward to welcoming a personal chef who values pride in their craft and who can contribute positively to our family life through well-prepared, delicious meals.
