Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chef or in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
  • Proficiency in bartending and creating specialty cocktails optional
  • Experience in banquet or large-scale event planning optional
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software e.g. POS systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff including chefs cooks and other employees
  • Oversee food preparation ensuring high quality and consistency in taste and presentation
  • Create and develop new menu items taking into consideration customer preferences and dietary restrictions
  • Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
  • Plan and execute special events such as banquets or catering functions
