The Chef will be responsible for supervising kitchen operations, including coordinating the activities of cooks and other kitchen associates, conducting interviews and training their team, managing payroll, and participating in performance reviews. Maintaining compliance with all food handling and sanitation standards is a critical part of this role, along with monitoring inventory levels and product quality to minimize waste and uphold the highest standards.
Chartwells K12 emphasizes culinary creativity by encouraging chefs to contribute ideas for menus and recipes that meet nutritional and taste standards. The position demands meticulous attention to food presentation and customer service, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to kitchen operations.
