As a leading provider of senior living communities, Legend focuses on delivering an elegant and supportive environment where residents enjoy the highest standards of quality, care, and service. With expanding properties added each year, Legend has built a reputation for innovative programming, holistic wellness, and exceptional dining experiences under the distinguished Gold Leaf Dining standards. The company's core mission revolves around enriching the lives of residents through vibrant Life Enrichment activities and fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes associate growth, support, and recognition.
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Chef to lead our culinary team, making a meaningful impact in the daily lives of our residents. This role goes beyond mere food preparation and service; it entails comprehensive oversight of all culinary operations, ensuring that meal planning, provisioning, safety protocols, and staff supervision meet and exceed our distinguished Gold Leaf Dining standards. Positioned during daytime hours with no late-night shifts, this role offers a perfect work-life balance for culinary professionals eager to blend creativity with leadership in a rewarding environment. The Chef will manage menu design tailored to nutritional requirements and individual preferences, coordinate departmental budgeting and inventory, and maintain cleanliness and safety in all food preparation and service areas. Serving as a key figure within the community, the Chef will foster daily positive resident interactions while supporting kitchen and dining room staff through effective hiring, training, and scheduling practices. Additionally, this role includes responsibilities such as serving as Manager-On-Duty on a rotational basis and stepping in to assist the culinary team as necessary. This is an enriching opportunity to thrive professionally while contributing to a unique dining experience that supports the wellbeing and satisfaction of our residents.
