The role of Chef is comprehensive and pivotal. You will have full responsibility for all kitchen operations, from conceptualizing and refining menus to overseeing food preparation and ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and quality criteria. Innovation and menu iteration are essential, focusing on delivering distinct and appetizing food selections that entice our clientele while maintaining profitability through astute use of P&L statements and cost control. Managing and mentoring the kitchen team is a fundamental aspect; you will recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering an atmosphere of cooperation, collaboration, and mutual respect to enhance productivity and morale. Safety and sanitation are top priorities, and you will ensure strict adherence to all health regulations and safety standards to provide a safe environment for staff and guests.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • create menus

  • plan and order ingredients and necessary equipment
  • arrange for kitchen repairs when needed
  • use p&l statements to effectively manage costs and meet budgets
  • hire, manage, and train kitchen staff
  • oversee kitchen staff, looking for opportunities to counsel or coach
  • foster cooperation, collaboration and respect
  • have knowledge of and enforce all safety and sanitation requirements
