The role of Chef at Fox River Brewing is a vital leadership position within the restaurant’s kitchen. As the department head, the Chef oversees all kitchen operations, ensuring the production of safe, visually appealing, and flavorfully balanced dishes that enhance the customer dining experience. This position demands maintaining a sanitary and safe work environment to safeguard the wellbeing of all employees. The Chef is directly responsible for menu planning, budget preparation, and the management of payroll, food costs, and other critical financial records related to kitchen operations.

In addition to culinary duties, the Chef plays a key role in employee development by training kitchen staff on cooking methods, presentation techniques, and proper portion control. Collaboration with ownership and directors is essential, particularly concerning equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently without disruptions. This role requires a blend of culinary artistry, managerial expertise, and strategic oversight to maintain high standards of food quality and operational excellence. Job Requirements
