We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Chef to join our team. This role requires a visionary culinary leader who will take full responsibility for every dish served and steer the overall menu direction. The chef will innovate and continuously refine the menu, balancing creativity with cost control to meet and exceed profit goals. The position includes comprehensive oversight of the kitchen operations, with an emphasis on quality, consistency, and efficiency. As the head of the kitchen, the chef will hire, manage, and coach the kitchen staff, fostering an environment of cooperation and respect to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, an in-depth understanding of food preparation and safety standards, and a passion for culinary excellence. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional kitchen
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulations
  • Experience leading and managing kitchen staff
  • Proficient in menu planning and cost management
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality and consistency

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a chef or in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and safety standards
  • Ability to innovate and adapt menus creatively
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

Job Duties

  • Create menus
  • Direct the food prep process
  • Plan and order ingredients and necessary equipment
  • Arrange for kitchen repairs when needed
  • Use P and L statements to effectively manage costs and meet budgets
  • Hire, manage, and train kitchen staff
  • Oversee kitchen staff, looking for opportunities to counsel or coach
  • Foster cooperation, collaboration and respect
  • Have knowledge of and enforce all safety and sanitation requirements
