Job Requirements

  • Culinary arts school training or apprenticeship program experience
  • Minimum of one year experience in institutional or quality food production
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification where applicable
  • Ability to supervise staff and coordinate with dietitians
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Competence in menu planning and supply ordering
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Direct culinary activities in the facility
  • Provide supervision and guidance to dietary staff
  • Coordinate with dietitian to deliver professional food services
  • Ensure quality and nutritionally appropriate meals for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Plan menu items and order supplies
  • Maintain records and accounts related to food services
  • Adhere to organizational health and safety policies and food safety regulations
  • Utilize food service processes of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed
