Job Requirements
- Graduation from accredited college or university with bachelor's degree in culinary arts, restaurant management, or related field
- Four years of vocational education or experience in culinary arts, or equivalent combination totaling eight years
- ServSafe certification required (must be obtained within six months of hire if not already certified)
- HACCP certification preferred
- Proof of education, training, and experience required

- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, restaurant management, or related field
- Four years of vocational education or experience in culinary arts or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling eight years
- ServSafe certification required
- HACCP certification preferred
- Experience in recipe development and standardized food preparation
- Ability to train and support cafeteria staff
- Knowledge of USDA meal program requirements
- Strong communication and community outreach skills
Job Duties
- Creates and facilitates recipes and production training for cafeteria staff
- Identifies new food products and recipes for school and special meal service programs
- Develops and tests new recipes that meet federal, state, and local guidelines
- Develops standardized recipes meeting USDA requirements for various national meal programs
- Remains current on new food trends and incorporates them into food selections
- Creates training videos, conducts on-site and virtual training, and coordinates school food
- Develops and maintains commodity food and KPIs usage
- Participates in school nutrition education programs, health fairs, district initiatives, PTA meetings, and community events
- Provides standard operating procedures for HACCP protocol for all recipes
- Performs other related duties assigned
