Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to stand for long periods
Basic proficiency in English
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Ability to handle cash and operate a cash register
Must pass background check
Comply with Walmart’s drug-free workplace policies

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous retail or cashier experience is an asset but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate point of sale systems
Basic math skills for handling transactions
Reliable and punctual work ethic
Ability to work various shifts including opening, mid-shift, and closing

Job Duties

Greet customers with a smile and positive attitude
Operate cash registers to accurately ring up items
Process customer payments including cash, credit, and digital transactions
Thank customers and ensure a pleasant checkout experience
Assist customers with questions and provide support as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the checkout area
Stand for extended periods during shifts
