As a Checker/Server at T&C, you will play a pivotal role in creating outstanding guest experiences. This dynamic position requires a friendly, multitasking individual who excels at maintaining smooth front-end operations and providing attentive service on the restaurant floor. The role involves interacting warmly with guests, efficiently handling transactions, and supporting the front-end team by ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and well taken care of from entry to checkout. From pouring beer and wine and delivering food to the tables to running check stands efficiently and accurately, this is a multifaceted job that offers a range of rewarding responsibilities.

The Checker/Server contributes to the vibrant atmosphere of the Fieldhouse Restaurant and plays an essential part in the overall guest experience. The position boasts a flexible schedule with open availability from 7am to 10pm, including all days Sunday through Saturday, which makes it perfect for those who thrive in a varied work environment. Compensation for this role starts at $18.40 per hour with the potential to earn up to $26.15 per hour, including legacy pay for eligible employees.

Job Requirements

  • Open availability 7am-10pm
  • available to work all days Sunday-Saturday
  • ability to have full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting and reaching) with excellent manual dexterity and frequent repetitive motion capability from hand through the shoulder area
  • ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • 21 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prefer previous cash-handling experience

Job Duties

  • Provides excellent customer service to all guests
  • takes orders through Restaurant POS system, pours beer and wine, delivers food to tables, checks in with guests, and cleans tables when needed
  • runs check stand area efficiently and accurately and is responsible for daily sales transactions for both Front End and Restaurant Check Stands as assigned
  • bags groceries and retrieves carts when needed
  • answers phones when needed
  • maintains department and Restaurant in a neat, clean and orderly manner
  • provides and role models attitude of service to staff and guests
  • keeps up on industry trends, standards, and changes
  • supports and follows all company and department policies
  • supports and follows sustainability programs
  • supports and follows all safety and security policies
  • operates within the Company’s Core Values, Company Brand, and Business Principles
