The Checker/Server position at T&C is a dynamic, multifaceted role designed for someone who loves helping people and excels in fast-paced environments. The role is critical to ensuring smooth front-end operations while delivering courteous, attentive service to guests from the moment they enter until checkout. This position requires strong multitasking skills, a friendly disposition, and a team-oriented mindset to create great guest experiences consistently.

As a Checker/Server, you will be responsible for greeting guests, efficiently managing orders through the restaurant's POS system, delivering food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The role encompasses tasks such as running the check stands accurately for both front end and restaurant areas, bagging groceries, answering phones when necessary, and supporting company policies including sustainability and safety programs. The role offers a unique opportunity to engage closely with customers and team members, helping to foster a positive, welcoming environment and ensuring customer satisfaction at every interaction.

This position requires open availability from 7 am to 10 pm, with the ability to work all days of the week, including weekends and holidays. T&C values candidates who demonstrate reliability, self-discipline, excellent communication skills, and a genuine attitude of service. Physical demands include the ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and possess manual dexterity for repetitive motions.

T&C offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive wages with entry-level pay starting at $18.40 per hour and maximum compensation up to $26.15 per hour, weekly medical premiums ranging from $9 to $23, vacation and sick time, paid holidays, premium pay rates, an Employee Assistance Program, employee discounts, 401(k) plans with profit-sharing, pension plans, scholarships, and employee referral bonuses. Job Duties

  • Provides excellent customer service to all guests
  • takes orders through Restaurant POS system, pours beer and wine, delivers food to tables, checks in with guests, and cleans tables when needed
  • runs check stand area efficiently and accurately and is responsible for daily sales transactions for both Front End and Restaurant Check Stands as assigned
  • bags groceries and retrieves carts when needed
  • answers phones when needed
  • maintains department and Restaurant in a neat, clean and orderly manner
  • provides and role models attitude of service to staff and guests
  • keeps up on industry trends, standards, and changes
  • supports and follows all company and department policies
